Donating critical masks to frontline workers
HIP Developments and partners donated 5,000 N95 masks to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital
We all have a responsibility to contribute to changing the rate of COVID-19’s spread. Focusing on the fundamentals, HIP Developments donated 5,000 N95 masks to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital this week. Given their name because of their capability to filter 95% of airborne particles, these masks save lives, and are critical garments for those on the frontlines, whose service and sacrifice we can’t express enough thanks for.

My Point of View

Happy we can help out and make life a little easier for the frontline workers and their families. After very long and important days the last thing they need to do is grocery shopping and meal preparation. Hopefully this support helps them find some down time with their families in between the amazing work they are doing caring for those in need. If you know a local hero - nominate them and we’ll make sure their fridge is full with easy reheat meals and beverages. Nominations can be sent by email to christina@theeventfirm.ca You can add a donation at checkout to help keep this program going. Gaslight Square Comes to life with help from our friends.
We have always loved the interactive art found on the streets of Montreal - especially the illuminated musical swings. It is known around the world and bring smiles to everyone’s faces. We’ve decided to bring that level of world class excitement to Gaslight Square. HIP is working with Daily Tous Les Jours, the Montreal based interaction design studio responsible for the swings and so much more. Daily will be creating a permanent outdoor experience at Gaslight Square designed to help us connect with, and be part of, the stories in our Grand River. We can’t imagine, and can’t wait, to see what they’ll do. To hold you over, have a look at “Hello Trees” created for Houston Texas. Photography by Morris Malakoff
